Performance
Advanced Security & Customizable Protection from EN1627 RC2-RC4.
Embassy Windows are available in a range of security levels from EN1627 RC2-RC4. We also offer bespoke intermediate classes with upgraded glazing options if required. Embassy Windows are designed to protect against a series of tools such as hammers, crowbars, screwdrivers and drills.
Impact-Resistant Glazing for Enhanced Security
Our glazing is typically certified to EN356 P6B, although we do also offer P5A on some of the lower security models. P6B glass can withstand 31 blows with a combination of sledgehammer and axe.
Bullet Resistance & Superior Thermal Insulation
Optional bullet resistance can be offered to EN1522 FB4NS (hand guns), FB6NS & FB7NS (assault rifles). Thermal insulation varies according to the glass and opening style. Embassy windows are extremely good at insulating your homes, with typical U values of 1.1 W/Km2 .
Construction & maintenance
Embassy Windows are constructed using multiple layers of hardwood, bonded together with special adhesives. This improves the overall strength and avoids some of the common warping issues that can be experienced with wood.
Depending on the security level, the wood is reinforced with additional steel and bullet resistant materials.
The wood is kil dried to xx moisture content and undergoes a triple treatment process to avoid rot, insect infestation and warping. They are initially flood treated, then sanded and treated a second time before a final coat of paint is applied. They are easy to maintain and only require a simple annual treatment wiped on with a soft cloth.

Appearance
Customizable Security with Timeless Craftsmanship
At their core, Embassy are a wooden window, allowing almost any design to replicated and produced. We are able to keep profiles thin and can offer painted, varnished or metal effect finished.
Elaborate designs, arched and even curved glazing can all be accommodated. If existing heritage glazing needs to be maintained for planning regulations, we also have designs for secondary security glazing to the interior.
Embassy Windows can be made to both very traditional heritage designs and ultra modern fashions.

Size
All Embassy Windows are custom made to fit your property. A large range of sizes are possible from small single windows up to H x W for opening windows and XXL sizes for fixed windows.
Operation
Embassy windows can be supplied as fixed or opening. They can be inward opening, tilt opening outward opening or sliding. A fake sliding variant is specially available for the UK market to blend in with Georgian and Victorian designs, whilst offering the security, thermal insulation and functionality of a more modern window.
Glass
Embassy Windows: Advanced Glazing for Superior Protection
Embassy can be supplied with a variety of different glazing. These can help achieve different security levels, bullet resistance and fire ratings. We recommend that P6B glass is generally the best option for the optimum security/price ratio.
We avoid the common green tinted finish that is often found on thick security and bullet resistance glass. We also offer the option of a very special opti-white finish that is even clearer.
Usually supplied as a double glazed unit, alternative triple glazing or single float glass designs are also possible. Dimensions vary according to the specific window but typically the overall glass is 37mm to xxmm thick.
Alarm contacts
Optional alarm contacts can be added unobtrusively to your windows. These can be used to detect & monitor a variety of different things such as window open/closed, window locked/unlocked & glass attacked
Hardware
To maintain the security of the windows then you should generally use the hardware options that we supply. However, it can be possible to supply your own as long as they conform to the same security standards. Please enquire for more details on this.
Locks
Customizable Security with Timeless Craftsmanship
Our windows are generally locked using a lever handle with a push button that enables its use. This can be fitted with a key if required. An alternative more discreet push button is also available on some designs.
All of the locking mechanisms are discreetly hidden within the frames and are not visible at all when the window is closed.
Doors
Customizable Security with Timeless Craftsmanship
A range of Embassy Doors can also be offered, again to seamlessly blend in with your property. These are also from the same wood construction and can match all the others of your property, even modern aluminium designs. They can be supplied in the same security, bullet and fire resistant ratings as the windows.
Wooden embassy doors can be offered as internal and external hinged doors and also as sliding patio doors.
Doors can be supplied in both key or electronic locking, operated by PIN code, Fingerprint or your own third party access control. Like the windows, monitoring contacts and alarm sensors can be added.
Production & Installation
Embassy Windows are a very specialist product and all made to order. The production time varies according to the complexity of the project. Expect a minimum of 6 weeks for simple designs in smaller quantities and up to 25 weeks for more complex and larger scale projects.
The product is fitted like a regular window but then bolted to the structural opening using special security fixings. The windows are generally much heavier than conventional windows which can make installation more complicated.
We can offer both a supervision and a full installation service.
