Criminal organisations

Criminals break into the bank or store while it is closed, usually in the early hours of the morning. They cut the safe door hinges with a grinder and then crowbar and use the Hydraulic Rescue Tools (Jaws of life) to prise open the ATM safe door, leaving the cassettes exposed for them to steal and make a getaway. The attack usually only last 2-5 minutes with Cen L to Cen 3 ATM’s being the focus of target.

This attack MO is a global problem for Banks and ATM deployers. To add attack time delay protection ATM SAFE have developed and manufacture a range of deployable retrofit visual / physical security systems to help protect against the Hydraulic Rescue Tool (Jaws of life) attacks.

ATM Hinge Cut Protection System

A 3-piece system comprises of a heavy duty 2-part solid steel 24mm safe door plate with 5mm steel internal bracing mounting plate. All fixings are hidden within the safe door, so it cannot be compromised. The internal bracing plate also helps support the safe door from delaminating. The safe door outer plate includes 2 overhang lugs that protect the hinges from being cut from the font of the ATM. Protection to cutting the hinges from the left-hand side of the ATM is provided by the 3mm side armour steel panel, fabricated with built in pockets to allow the front armour lugs to sit within it when opening the safe door and servicing the ATM.

ATM Hinge Dog Bolt Upgrade Plates

A 2-piece upgrade kit made from plasma cut 3mm and folded solid steel for improving the safe door hinge dog bolts, by extending them into the ATM pockets by an additional 7mm. This protection kit has been developed as an easy to install retro fit solution that will make it much more difficult to place the Hydraulic Rescue Tools (Jaws of life) into the gap and making it so much more difficult to prise the door away at the hinge side of the ATM.

ATM Front Loading Cut Protection Panel

A single piece 3mm steel folded and fabricated armour panel with welded in rebar and filled with our own anti cut composite mixture. The panel protects the hinges
being cut from the side and the front cuts by the panel protruding forward of the hinges. Visual and physical protection for your ATM.
