HALO

The HALO system is the crown jewels’ when it comes to protecting internal lobby ATM’s. During the design and production of the system we looked at ATM crime data, met with ATM security Managers and also large retailers John Lewis, The Co-operative Group, Tesco, Asda, Morrisons and Aldi to name a few.

We inspected attacked ATM’s, liaised with the Police and analysed the current trend of ATM attack MO’s. The crime was varied with different organised gangs targeting different ATM’s and stores with their own perfect way of breaching the safe to take the cassettes or by removing the ATM completely from the store.

Our aim was to design out crime by introducing protection into the HALO protection system to cover the lasso rope and chain attack, hydraulic lifters, crow barring, grinder cutting, oxy cutting, drilling, removing the ATM from the store, accessing the back of ATM and cutting an opening in the back to access cassettes and so on.

In addition to the HALO’s unique ATM fixing footprint, back protection and side body armour the safe door can be protected with our Pluslocks and door armour protection can also be applied to the ATM safe door.

ACW’s

The ACW’s have been designed to add an additional 60+ kg of weight each to the ATM. This helps especially in locations the ATM’s cannot be bolted down or have poor fixings. With 4 ACW’s installed it will increase the ATM weight by over 240kg. Each ACW is fabricated by our ATM SAFE team and filled with our composite which also provides great protection against grinder/drill and Oxy attacks to the safe body.

You can then protect the cash within the machines and reduce the threat of any future attacks – reducing substantial damage to buildings and potential loss of revenue. ATM SAFE has developed a number of solutions for the various ATM models and installation scenarios.

Strongarm ATM Anchor

Solution for all ATM’s

The Strongarm HD is an Anchoring chain system with security shield bolted to the ATM and the ground. Perfect for internal ATM’s and can be installed on TTW ATM’s. To protect the systems integrity a low cost innovative Strongarm HD shield is also available where required. The security shield fixings are secured from within the safe offering additional anti-tamper protection and integrity to the system, as well as providing H&S anti trip cover.

Strongarm chain link

Tested to and fully certificated 40 tonnes British load chain.

Floor fixing

Innovative fabricated internal locking system housed within an impact resistant mounting block, installed with low centre of gravity fixings. Easy to install with 2 industry grade concrete floor mounting studs and specific floor bolting resins.

ATM fixing

New especially designed single bolt mounting specification boss with tested chain link flexible mounting coupling.

Strongarm Shield

Available with Strongarm security shield protection cover. Provides a low cost protection shield, providing an extra level of security and H&S to the system.

Compact design

Designed not to impose on critical ATM advertising and branding space, while still imposing a physical presence and protection. Can be painted to any RAL or graphic design can be added.

Strongarm ATM Anchor Plinth

Solution for TTW ATM’s

For the TTW ATM installations we recommend the Strongarm HD plinth that provides extra layers of protection combining the anchoring chain with the plinth design to reduce floor impact forces. The STRONGARM Anchor Plinth is a heavy duty easy level adjustable plinth designed for ease of installation and adjustment.

Security

Includes a built in Strongarm HD Anchor within so it can mount to the underside of the ATM reducing space required for the ATM in the banking hall or store.

Floor fixing

The floor fixings used are 4 x M24 studs 210mm long 8.8 grade with M24 x 45mm washers and M24 nylock nuts.

ATM fixing

Each plinth will be made to exactly measure the ATM footprint. Designed, developed, tested and manufactured by ATM SAFE.

Construction

Laser cut, folded and re-enforced bottom plate with anchor chain welded into position. The chain loops through the steel supporting cross section plate and attached to the steel top plate. The ATM is bolted to the top plate and the anchor is bolted to the bottom of the ATM.

Testing

Our testing replicated the attack MO. For the attack we used a 4.5-ton Wacker Neuson TH522 Telehandler. The Strongarm anchor has passed previous testing using a 7.5-ton 4wd JCB, which was verified in Feb 2015 by Dr, J. L. Hill of DYNAMIQ Engineering.

Strongarm ATM Subterra

The Subterra Strongarm anchoring system has been tested with our ATM clients in attendance. We employed a professional rescue team to try and lift the ATM out of the ground.

Armed with Hooligan bars and hydraulic rescue tools (jaws of life) the team proceeded to attack the ATM and failed to lift the ATM. When attempting to lift the ATM with two hydraulic tools the Subterra continued to protect against crowbarring and jaws of life hydraulic tools.
